About US

Oyugis integrated project is a non-profit organization that supports the less fortunate persons infected or affected with HIV. We are located within Oyugis town opposite St. Peter Catholic Church. For over twenty years we have been supporting the vulnerable with education, food, clothing, housing and empowerment programs for women and youth. We appreciate you for being part of our community. With the support of our friends and neighbors like you, we have been able to accomplish a lot over the past years. Currently we have sponsoring over 50 orphans, providing food to the handicaped, offering free medical support to over 2000 HIV positive clients who visit our dispensary every year and offering vocational training to teenage girls who are victims and early pregnancy and school drop out. Your kind donation of books, clothes, sanitary pads, textile and food will save lives and bring hope to the most venerable persons in our community. To make your contribution more visible we are pleased to recognize your company in our meetings as well as our newsletters highlighting your generosity. Your feedback is very much appreciated.

WHAT WE OFFER

WHAT WE OFFER

Youth Empowerment Program

Our Youth Empowerment Program aims to equip young people, especially young women who are most affected, with entrepreneurial skills to help them become self-reliant. We offer training in dressmaking, hairdressing, weaving, and other skills to youths who are either infected or affected by HIV/AIDS. Coming from poor families, many cannot afford to attend college, so we provide free training regardless of their educational qualifications.

Currently, we have 40 young women in training, with the potential to increase this number as we secure more resources. However, we face challenges in paying the trainers' salaries and covering operational costs. Many of our graduates have successfully started their own businesses or found employment. We depend on generous supporters like you to sponsor a girl’s training or donate to sustain the program. Join us in transforming the lives of our youth.

Home-Based Care Program

Our Home-Based Care Program offers support to HIV/AIDS patients who:

  • Cannot afford hospital admission,
  • Need psychological and spiritual support,
  • Avoid visiting hospitals due to stigma,
  • Lack food and housing,
  • Have lost hope of recovery,
  • Are orphans left behind by deceased parents.

Volunteers actively seek out those in need in the villages and report to our Home-Based Care Committee, which assesses their needs and arranges appropriate support. Our volunteers provide:

  1. Social support,
  2. Affordable medical services to those affected or infected with HIV,
  3. Home visits for bedridden patients, offering necessary medical care,
  4. Counseling and spiritual support,
  5. AIDS seminars and workshops,
  6. Regular home care visits.

Food Support Program

Every week, our Food Support Program provides free food to elderly and sick individuals from poor families. A nutritious diet is essential for the health of HIV/AIDS clients. We rely on your donations to keep this vital service running. Become a part of our mission today.

Orphans Sponsorship Program

We currently support over 50 orphans by contributing to their school fees, helping prevent school dropouts due to financial hardship. This program has positively impacted many lives, providing the orphans with a chance at a brighter future. You can make a difference by sponsoring one of these children.

Shirikisho Dispensary

The Shirikisho Dispensary, owned and operated by the Oyugis Integrated Project, provides free outpatient medical services to HIV/AIDS clients. On average, the dispensary serves 60 clients daily, offering essential care, medication, and quality treatment. Through the dispensary, we are committed to improving the health and well-being of the sick in our community.
